PC Show 2006
Today early in the morning, me went to the doc downstairs.. 1st time there after my family doc had died 1 wk ago.... Went in and told the doc that i wanna delay my "yi ma" for 1 mth.. he almost got a shock!!!! He said that if he will to delay it for a mth... it is goin to cause disruption to my system... Gee... well.. this is a 1st time i request for delay and i heard from my aunt that i need to go to the doc 1 mth in adv mah... that is why i requested for a month...Eventually, i had to explain that i only need to prevent in from coming for 3 days due to my diving trips... Then the doc said that actually only need to take the medi 1 wk in advance til the date that i want it to end. Well.. that will be 10 days...Now i can only hope that i am regular and dun come early else i cham.. cos 10 days not enu if "yi ma" is goin to come early....After the doc, me and my sis went to the PC show...Motive??? To help my sis to get her notebook for uni.... started from ACER, ASUS, SAMSUNG,COMPAQ,TOSHIBA,FUJISHU and LENOVO... That is a big search for notebook.

Nothing much.. Juz wanna look at the model that my sis saw in the nus website... She said that nus offer a better deal for that particular model.

Spec not bad woh... duo core 1.66, 1gb ram, 80gb hd, build-in camera, 1.9kg,multi drive @ 2098
SAMSUNG

spec is same as ASUS except that there is no camera. but it is real slick and nice... my sis seems in loved with it.. and me too is captivated by it. Pluz that salesguy is real nice and he can even rem my sis cos she went yest to ccll already..
COMPAQ

spec is amd 64 bits... sales guy nv give much freebies.. notebook quite heavy at 2.3kg and he is real good at trying to mark down Samsung's model... tryin to highlight the cons of samsung to make compaq stands out... Too bad he failed.. :P
TOSHIBA and FUJISHU and LENOVO

Nothing much.. mayb of the quality... unable to find a spec that is comparable to the pricing and the specs of Samsung...
Eventually we went bk to look for that Samsung guy and asked him abt installment plans... OMG!!! they only accept DBS CC and 2% 1 time charges for 12mths installment.. 5% for 24mths installment... Told him that i had not got my DBS CC so we can't get the notebook and he looked quite disappointed... Well... eventually we walked 1 big round and decided to get the pay by NETS...That sure lights him upz. The guy told us that we can go for 2 lucky draw, 1 by samsung, 1 by intel... we got a swiss knife from samsung.. and intel.... OH MY!!! we walked several rounds before we found the booth.. thanks to the wrong direction from the sales guy... While looking for the intel booth... saw a sec sch fren of mine... at the prudential booth... chit chat for a while before i decided to move on looking for my intel booth... FInally found it...and OMG!!! In order to get my prize.. I have to stand in that big transparent "container" to catch all that flying papers... catch as much as i can... Ermm. i too paiseh to do that ..eventually i get 1 of the sales guy to help me with it.. and he helped me to get a 128 usb drive... Coolz... that is wat my sis wanted...
After these.. i could not tahan liao..cos it is already closed to 2pm and i had not had my lunch... brought my sis to tony roma's and i think we ordered too much.. ended up we could not finished our food...
After lunch, we went up again, this time rnd with joyce and i wanted to buy my portable hd..saw wayne and siewlee on our way there... such a coincidence.. chit chat for a while and we carried on with our own shopping.. bought my hd with joyce help cos i reached my max 2k limit on NETS. After that my sis went to her choir. Me and joyce went to Coffee Club and had a drink .. OH MY!! real long drink... cos we chit chat til 8 pluz.... by the time i reached hm.. already 9 pluz liao... My sis got bk hm even earlier than me... :O
Well... end of my saturday...
