Nice Tuesday
Today is the 1st day of work after the long weekend, so far so good... while working, received a call from my mama and she said that she had got herself, me & my sisters each a clover leaf handphone strap. Clover leaf is well known for bringing good luck to the owner... and somehow, my mama saw this article in the newspaper yesterday. Therefore, she somehow believed that the clover leaf will indeed bring us luck. I think she spend a little portion of her Progress package on these little gifts....I got mine when i reached hm... Kinda of lazy to take a photo... so I took this photo from the shop's website which is exactly the same... Looks real cute and nice.. and it came with a nice little pouch and a little piece of paper....
It had a very nice little history & poem on this paper too... allow me to type it out as a memory.. cos i am real bad with papers, it will definitely get lost one fine day...
History
The four-leaf clover is a universally accepted symbol of good luck with its origin ages old. According to legend, Eve carried a four-leaf clover from the Garden of Eden.
"The clovers also occupied a position in the cultural life of early peoples. White clover (T.Repens L.) in particular was held in high esteen by the early Celts of Wales as a charm against evil spirits." Clover Science and Technology". N.L. Taylor, 1985.
Druid held the four-leaf clover in high esteen and considered them as a sign of luck. In 1620, Sir John Melton wrote: "If a man walking in the fields find any four-leaf grass, he shall in a small while after find some good things."
The mystique of the four-leaf clover continues today, since finding a real leaf clover is still a rare occurrence and omen of good luck.
Poem
I know a place where the sun is like gold and the cherries bloom forth in the snow;
And down underneath is the loveliest place, Where the four-leaf clovers grows.
One leaf is for FAITH,
and one is for HOPE,
And one is for LOVE you know;
And GOD put another in the LUCK:
If you search you will find where they grow.

Somehow I just hope that with this clover leaf, everything that i do will be smooth, obstacles can be settled easily and fulfill all my dreams...
