Searching for Wedding Banquet Venue
I had always thought that 1 yr in advance to do the searching for wedding banquet venue is always sufficient. Well, i think i am really way wrong loh.... Few weeks back, when i start to search, some hotels had indicated to me that their 2009 wedding packages are not out yet. Therefore, i even told my bf that "wah... it is not difficult to find a hotel after all.." But But But.... from last week till now, i had been intensively hunting for hotels trying to set a budget of 800 per table. But haiz... truth starts to reveal... So far, i called many 4 stars hotels and most of them are fully booked. The only ones that i managed to block is York Hotel, whereby the catering manager is nice enough to block for me till 24th Dec 2007. By right i shld be happy with this hotel.. However, after a view at Novotel.. i felt in love with that place. But luck is not with me cos the plc was booked already. What a waste!!! It really spoilt my mood... Basically, 5 stars hotels are out of questions cos they are at least 1088 and above...Anyway, me and my bf had decided to view watever we can during this week and confirm the hotel by this week. It will save us plenty of brain cells.... Tomorrow, i will be going to suntec for viewing. It seems that their ballroom are quite nice although that place happens to be a resturants. But then they still do provide ballrooms and from the forums, everyone compliments the food and services. But dun think that it is just a resturant cos the pricing is also not cheap and the food menu is really not fantastic loh. I guess after tmlr discussion, most likely the pricing will go as high as 900+... Just pray hard that it will not overshot our budget.
On Friday, me and bf going to Park Royal Hotel at Beach Road to view the room as well. We love the menu and i think the old folks will like it cos there are big items like abalone, good fish and good cold combination and etc... but then we are not really happy with the location and the pillar ballroom. Kinda lose points in here, but still we must go and ccll as visual is still better than guessing...
Well, hope everything goes on fine then.. at most we fall bk on Yoke Hotel. but at least we are still left with choices.
So for those intending to get married.... Remember to chop early.. for wedding banquet... best to chop as early as possible... be kiasu is the keyword... :D
